Seeding the supply side of a two-sided marketplace (chicken-and-egg)
Pain point
Founders can't get the first ~10 sellers/suppliers; one side fills up and the other won't.
Signal
Moderate. Low votes (4) but **the top comment is a second founder with the identical problem right now** — *"Currently in a similar situation. I got one side in, but I need the other side now and that has posed a real struggle."* Two independent founders in one thread = evergreen, recurring pain even if this instance is small.
Opportunity
(a) Productized service: "first 50 supply" done-for-you recruiting — scraped lead lists of the right supplier type + manual outreach + concierge onboarding, priced per onboarded seller. (b) SaaS: supply-side CRM with ghost/concierge inventory tooling (list supply you don't have yet, fulfill manually), pre-launch waitlist matching, and liquidity dashboards. Feasibility: **service = quick**; SaaS = medium and hard to defend. The service is the better wedge and self-funds the product.
