Prepaid wallet balances silently expiring (Japan)

Pain point

Steam JP wallet funds now die after 6 months unused; users confused and unaware of expiry dates. Note a competitive insight in comments: *"Nintendo eShop balance does not expire in japan... not the norm"* (28).

Signal

Strong raw interest (~2.9K, top comments 1,050/658/334) but mostly outrage at the law, not demand for a tool. Single thread.

Opportunity

Lightweight expiry-tracker (web/mobile or Steam-community bot) that logs top-up dates across Steam/PSN/eShop and pings "use it or lose it" 30 days out. Very quick to build; weak monetization — better as an affiliate-funded lead magnet for a gift-card/key marketplace.
